Ladies and gentleman, the day has come. The 'minkit' (aka: binkey) is GONE! We're going on day 5 and it's getting better every day. There are still tantrums every night and at nap time, but we have explained to Zoey J that another baby needed them. Thankfully we had just met up with some of Nics family with an infant and she had a binkey, it worked perfect. :)
My mind is blown knowing that my baby is now a kid. She is potty trained, binkey free, in a big girl bed, no sippy and can hold a conversation. Where did she go!?! I'm so proud of her and everything she is, but I can't believe she's actually doing all of these things!
I love you my sweet girl, you're incredible.

Big Things!
There are lots of changes in the world of Zoey J lately! We're on day 15 of pantie wearing (with the exception of pull ups at night or long car drives) as well as Zoey J drinking from a big girl cup! Sounds like a small thing, but I must say it is nice on the rare occasion I forget a sippy! Around the house he still has a sippy just so floors don't get ruined, but I'll take what I can get. :)
And for the grand finale....NO MORE MINKIT! (aka:binkey). We had attempted this battle many times before, but now that she's older, its a little easier to explain. We're all losing some z's and some patience too, but at this time, we're all ready!
She has been in the "terrible 2's" for a good 2 months now, and let me tell you, they're TERRIBLE! I thought it was just teething, oh no no, I only wish it was because at some point, that ends! Right now Zoey J is testing us and our limits with "let go" "go to time out mommy/daddy" "move over" "no way!" and many more here and there. Another favorite is when she knows she's going to timeout, she asks to go. It's a vicious process! Nonetheless, we still love her. :)
Zoey Js pediatrician has been on maternity leave, so we don't even get her 2 year wellness check up until the 4th of June, but I must say I am very anxious to see what she says of her milestones. I am so proud of her and her ever expanding mind!

Mothers Day
Again, I am guilty for the lack of blogging. I have currently been picking up a lot of shifts at work and therefore a very tired momma! I am so glad to be working swing shift and soaking up every moment with Zoey J that I can before it slips away :(
The latest was mothers day weekend, and boy oh boy did I feel appreciated! I slept in until 9 o'clock (heavenly!) and was woken with a fresh bouqet of wild flowers and a card signed by my darling girls. This was the first year that we were able to have Lillian on mothers day. She left that morning at 10 am with crafts in tow to give her mom. The rest of the day we spent lounging around and I was content in stealing snuggles from my lovey girl and soaking up some sun!
As stated in the last blog, we have a potty trained girl! Yippee! She wears pull-ups at night (majority of the time she wakes up with them dry) and if we're going on long car rides or where a restroom isn't accessable. But at 2 years and (almost) 3 months old, I am so happy and proud of her!
Another toot on the horn for our amazing girl, is her knowledge in shapes/colors/and numbers! We have conquered triangle, square, circle, heart, star, diamond and octagon. As for colors, red, blue, yellow, green and white. Last but not least, she can count to 12 and count down from 3! Sounds easy, but at that age, I'm bragging any chance I get!
Lillian is still adorable as ever, she has an imaginary boyfriend now (yikes!) and loves to speak of the things they do together. As she told me, "Boyfriend and girlfriends spend all their time together. They go grocery shopping, to day care, and best of all, they go kayaking!" :)
Once more, I am so blessed with these beautiful girls. They will forever hold my heart and I will take every chance I get to let them know!
Until next time!

Yay!
Today is the first day of an amazing part of our lives! Today, Zoey Jade Linck went a FULL day in panties!! We ran some errands to the fabric store and than to lunch with family and had 2 successful trips to the restroom and no accidents! We've been so proud of her potty training at home the last few months, but today, she was ready! Such an exciting step for this momma. :)
And here are some photos of Zoey J being adorable as always.
