We're Baaacckkkk!

Hello again! The time had come again where I slacked in my blogging skills, and for that, I apologize! My dear friend Amber wouldn't quit nagging about my lack of blogging,so back by popular demand, here us an update on the last month and a half of our lives. :)

Like I stated earlier, I started my job with the bank at the end of February, I have completed my 6 week training and have started my swing shift position fin 430-midnight as of this last Monday! So far, I LOVE it! I get my days and one on one time my darling Zoey J, and still weekends off. :) not too shabby if you ask me!

Now on to the main event of the blog, the babies! (Or should I say children, but I have yet to accept that) Last time I blogged we were preparing for court, the prayers worked and we won! We got some makeup time with Bug that her mom had taken away from us and Nic us currently in mediation to negotiate more time for our regular, court ordered schedule.

Lilly is still a genius, a genius with an attitude! She's recently discovered how to roll her eyes, speak under her breathe and sway those tiny hips! Although it can push my buttons, I must say it makes for some funny moments! This last weekend we rearranged Lilly's room and did some deep spring cleaning! She loves her privacy and feeling so 'grown up' in her own room! She still loves Barbies, Disney princess', and has an imagination that never stops, which I LOVE! Currently, her closet is a garden palace covered in lights and hanging daisies. :) bless her heart, I love her creative mind! I am praying for more time with our darling Bug and hopefully that will happen for us soon!

Zoey J is almost the opposite of her mellow sister. :) she is busy busy busy!! As of now we are helping her fight off the tail end of bronchitis and a double ear infection, and let me tell you, it's rough! Because I had a long training for work, Zoey J had been going to a daycare down the road called Noah's Ark Daycare, which I loved! We were both so scared and hesitant of sending her to daycare seeing as she's never been before, but it was so good for her. She got to take her first field trip to the Gresham fire department, and had a dentist come in to teach her about those chomps of hers. :) it was a good adventure, but I'm happy to say she's back with momma!

Last time we left off she was one, Zoey J is TWO! I really can't believe it. Time really does just sneak up and fly by! Her 2nd birthday was a success! Safari Sam's was the location, an indoor jungle gym, and thank goodness we had our own party room because it was packed! Of course we themed it as toy story seeing as that's her favorite! She got so many presents and so much love from all her family and friends, so thank you all for coming. :)

Another big milestone for precious Zoey J is she's in a big girl bed!! Buh bye crib! We were so scared at first since she's so tiny, but she hasn't gotten out once or rolled off! She is so proud of it and loves showing it off!

Due to being sick, potty training to a brief halt for Zoey J to focus on resting. She mainly wore diapers, but panties occasionally. We of course still encouraged to go on the potty, which we lucked out with more than expected, but accidents happened. We're back on track though and ready to go!

As of 2 weeks ago, Zoey J weighs a whopping 24lbs 3oz and is 33" tall. She's in the low 20th percentile, but we still love her. ;) most people see our precious girl and question her age due to her size, but I'll tell ya what, that kid can eat! For example, this morning she ate 6 pieces of bacon, a scrambled egg, 2 pieces of cheese and half a piece of my toast! And I have my step mom to hold me to that. :)

Zoey Js vocabulary is mind blowing and continues to impress Nic and I daily. I am beyond incredibly proud of the manners we have instilled in her an how well she uses them. We hear her tiny voice saying, please, thank you, bless you, excuse me, you're welcome, sorry, and an occasional pardon me when asked on demand. :) and I'll toot my own horn for days haha of course she still says amazing other things, but anything she does I am in awe of!

Sorry again for the lack of blogging, but now that I have my days available again, I'll keep it up! I'm off for some deep spring cleaning and toy bleaching, until next time!
